Cooking Tools for the Novice
Many people are afraid of All-Clad products because many professionals prefer them; however, a few options work that are less intimidating for the novice home chef. As a home cook user of All-Clad, I was uncertain if they'd work well or if the durability I heard of was dependable the first time I ventured into using their products. Well, let say that my All-Clad may have outlasted cars, jobs, and friendships.

These stainless steel mixing bowls are incredibly versatile for use in the kitchen and my first All-Clad item. They still look and perform consistently for almost a decade. This set includes a 1.5, 3, and 5-quart bowl, each with a handle gives you that added grip when mixing doughs, salads, marinade, and more. I regularly use them to marinate meat by incorporating the brine in the bowl and using it as a double boiler to marry all in seasonings. Even put your protein into the mixing bowl and let them marinate overnight.

I have several slow cookers and recently upgraded to this one because of the easy cleanup, and the buffet feature works nicely for me when entertaining. I use this slow cooker for soups during the winter and chilis during the summer months. The 4qt insert is cast aluminum and features a non-stick ceramic coating, which is helpful when cleaning up after having friends over for chili. The slow cooker has the standard three slow-cook modes of low, hi/low, and high, and you can choose the temperature for your perfect meal temp. Also, you can cook rice and brown with this slow cooker.

I received my set as a Holiday gift from a friend who enjoys my treats and knew how much I love the All-Clad line. I have other silicone tools that work well but loses their rigidity when used with heat up to 450 degrees F. These have excellent firmness to them when using a skillet or folding cookie batter, and they are dishwasher safe. This set comes with five pieces, with two of them being a mini scraper and spoonula, great for getting everything out of a jar.
Price Range $149.99-$220.00
Typically people become intimidated by The All-Clad brand because their stainless steel cookware isn't forgiving to an inexperienced cook; however, the non-stick set ideal for that type of home cook. I gave this wedding gift to a friend I know isn't the best cook, but because it's a PFOA-free non-stick surface, they have more wiggle room to become an improved home cook. They love best about this because it still has the quality and weight of standard All-Clad without the fear of foods sticking to the pan. The set contains three skillets, an 8.5, 10.5, a 4-quart sauce, and a quick-to-clean lid. Another perk to using these is if you're looking to cut back on oil in your cooking, this surface needs very little fat.
I hope that these All-Clad items make it easy for you to forget about this being only for professionals. Their line of products is excellent for every level of a home cook to a professional chef. The longevity of the product's quality is worth every penny. All-Clad always has a promotion available for its products bringing the price down considerably. If you are interested in fine-tuning your culinary skillsets, then venture into adding an All-Clad item to your kitchen.
